I Still Write

'I still write'

Though 'tired' will never describe the drain
Nor agony told recount the pain
No matter what I say or write
You'll never know my weary plight

As pen these words, outline the dread
Of another night in restless bed
Write of racing heart and poorly gut
Whisper fatigue has caused this rut
Shout rooftop high of migraine strain
Will I ever wake without again?

Hanging on with all my might
To life once partied through the night
I'll keep on writing share my truth
As ageing years steal from my youth

I rhyme my thoughts to cause distraction
Not to moan or cause reaction
Don't think I'm sad through words I write
I know too often am contrite
I find myself I am at peace
When I write my masterpiece

Keep writing, it's worth the effort and the reading.

This was beautiful, a little sad but filled with hope it seems. No matter what, I will write and I will express myself for I am me and I am strong. Nicely done.
