The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

I Still Love You

It's been five years since we parted
yet I'm still in love with you

The days are hard and the nights are long
I wish to have you back in my arms

Some say I've gone crazy with a demon inside
it's your perspective I know

But I am just one of God's children
as innocent as the Earth can provide

Can you love me again?
can you come around

My words bleed for you as a poet should
we are destined to reunite and love one another

once more

Dear robert, this is so sincere and so heartfelt how youv expressed love and longing amidst the distance and fate tearing two hearts meant to beat as one apart, sometimes, life gets in the way but we love who we love and what we love and theres no changing that, shows that you loved sincerely and its something rare in this world. I love especially the last lines and the way your words just flow seamlessly. “ i still love you” i hope this reaches her, and i wish that you will reunite. Thank you also for your wonderful comment on my poem: im grateful truly! Its judges like you that keeps me writing, inspired! Much appreciated
