The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

I Still

I still breathe…
When no one is around to hear it,
When life hits you the hardest,
And when it seems there is no reason to.

I step forward…
Even when the blacktop ends,
Even when there is no compass to lead me,
And even when the last star, at night burns out.

My heart still beats…
When you are fully out of view,
Or when all my tears have escaped me,
And even when all these words are forgotten.
