I Stared Out Into November

I stared out into November
the only person in the world
at this time in this place
seeing the streams of sun
lighting up this wheat field

I wondered if anyone else
had ever seen this scene?
or one remotely like it?
the silence was heavenly
daybreak beckoned me
i was entranced

This is a lovely little poem, Caren, which reminds me that much of what we see, we are the only ones who will ever see it, so it behooves us to chronicle these delightful scenes.

i delight in knowing some scenes are mine and mine alone
