I Stand Here
I stand here, above the land
Surveying all beneath my feet,
Where surely God had laid his hand
And blessed us with this place so sweet.
I stand here in solitude
Silence reigns, my thoughts now still.
In nature's light I lose myself,
For joy I find, upon this hill.
I stand here, wind in my hair
Above my head a cobalt sky,
Free as a bird to spread my wings
For here, I let my spirit fly.
