I stand alone

I wrote this for my sister when she was going through a rough period

I stand alone
because
I am a strong woman
who can't find a strong man,
you know,
a take charge type a man
who can handle his business
with confidence and not arrogance,
who can be a real man in real time,
not a sometime man most of the time.
I stand alone
because
I am a strong woman
who can't find a strong man,
you know,
the type of man who brings
something to the table,
like the desire .
to reach higher ground,
to move mountains,
to make
the seemingly impossible
possible.
A strong man,
whose strength is defined by
his ability to get in tune with
his inner feelings.
I stand alone
because
I am a strong woman
who can't find a strong man,,
you know,
a deep communicator
whose conversation is soulfully
stimulating.
A man who understands
the importance of dressing
his spirituality as well as he dresses
his body.
I am a strong woman
who can't find a strong man,
you know,
a man who understands
a woman's worth,
and knows he is blessed to
have her.
A strong man
who masters the art of sacrifice
and commitment,
a man who gives 200 percent
of mind and body and spirit
and soul.
I am a strong woman
who can't find a strong man,
you know,
a man who is willing to put
in the work required not only
to get her,
but most importantly,
to keep her.
I am a strong woman
who can't find a strong man,
you know,
a real man in real time,
and until I do,
I will stand alone.I
