I Sit Here Wanting
The words are captivating
The images, so clear
The flow is ever moving
Read aloud, I wish to hear
Tell us of your stories
Some fiction, some so true
Tell us in your rhymes right now
Of the things you wish to do
Tell us of your learning
And that you wish to share
Tell us of your saddened times
As, yes, we do now care
Tell us of your smiles
The many times you’ve laughed
Share with us your fairytales
Each lovely paragraph
Enlighten us with meaning
Improve our sights with view
Share with us your poetry
