I Sit and Wonder

I sit and wonder of the people who believe in me
I wonder do they see the picture and if it’s all to see
My heart feels content like I’ve finally found a home
Still there is this restlessness my spirit shall still roam.

I wonder of the world and where it is I exactly fit
Sometimes like the fool on this hill where I do sit
I seem to lose faith often I have problems with trust
It’s like I was left out in the rain and I’ve begun to rust.

I wonder of my words and if anyone really hears
I wonder of my destiny and it blends with my fears
A sorrow starts to grow as I shed a couple tears
It seems I return to this place almost every year.

I wonder will it matter this road I am upon
So many pieces vanish they are simply gone
I try to pick up the remainder to save what I can
Then I start to wonder again who I really am?

I wonder of the night as the day is almost done
I have all those memories of times spent in the sun
Though the journey is winding down I feel I’ve just begun
As I wonder what’s been lost and what it was I won.
