I Sing My Own Song

I sing my own song
I sing my own song 
On the wing
Whenever I sing
Do you hear
The silences between
When I say
What I cannot
And when I hesitate
Do you pull words
Out of my mouth
Do the knots in my thoughts
Baffle you
When  you listen to 
What I don’t say
Why do I feel
I must say
Something more
That I cannot fathom
Till silence wins and
Leaves fall
In springtime
 
Still
When the flowers bloom
And birds sing
There is a squirrel
Twittering – finding her own song

I like how you sing your own song, Nivedita, Welcome to Poetry Soup. It will be a delight to read and become familiar with your poems in the future. LOL, The Imagery is funny, it never stops, THE IMAGERY, is nonstop. Nivedita, Welcome to Poetry soup, I hope you enjoy the community.
