The warning signs where all around me floating in the air From the way you softly touched me- And played with my hair The way your eyes pierced me I should have known For every look squeezed my heart and touched my very soul From the beginning it was apparent when you where all that I could see But I was blinded by the simple need for you and me It shouldn't have been surprising I should have been aware When the smallest of your affection melted my every care I don’t know how I missed it or how I couldn’t see That it was written in the stars that you were meant for me You never made it tricky it never got out of hand Your clear and only wish was to be my man I shoulda seen it coming Yes this is true Should have known it was impossible for me not to love you 2/1/23
