I Shoulda Seen It Coming

I shoulda seen it coming
It's so obvious now to me
What I didn't see then
Now has stunning clarity

So I could kick myself
For my own stupidity
And now the consequence
Is really haunting me

I thought I was so smart
I thought I had it all in hand
But clearly I was mistaken
And it's costing me a grand

I shot around the corner
Going a bit quick I will admit
When a flash into my eyes
Told me I was in the s**t

I assumed it was sun strike
So I thought no more of it
But it was a bloody speed camera
And my bank account was hit
