I Should Write a Poem
Words are brewing
percolating through my mind
asking to be used
but they move so fast
I can't grasp onto them
I'll wait until they settle
arranging themselves
forming some kind of picture
I can relate to somehow
that might make me smile
Biblical places and names
something from today's news
all rolled up into one--
some mixture of ideas
that might be able to heal
I grasp at two of them
matching them up together
rearranging them a bit
until they finally fit
into one unified piece.
