I Should Have Known

I Should Have Known
I should have known she didn’t want me
It was obvious, I should have seen
Feels like I’ll always be alone
Of course my desire had grown
All along in the back of my head
I knew to concentrate on me instead
I shouldn’t think so much when they flirt
I need to remember I’m just dirt
Sometimes I really feel down
It seems impossible to get rid of this frown
I’m pissed that I lost my girl
Her true self began to unfurl
Guess I hurt her to much
Said bye for another guy and such
Figures, soon as I’m clean
She decided to get really mean
Said to me screw you
To you I was never true
Now, I’ll likely always be alone
