I Should Have Ended It

Looking back,
After you left,
You made me feel guilty,
When it wasn’t even my fault.
Blaming me for everything,
Never taking any fault.
I realize now,
That I should have ended everything,
Our relationship.
What we had,
This fantasy we called ‘love’,
Nothing but lies,
It should have ended sooner.
I regret not telling you the truth,
How I really felt;
I couldn’t be honest with you;
Because I was afraid;
That I might hurt your feelings.
I shouldn’t have cared,
I shouldn’t have been so forgiving,
You never loved me,
You hurt me,
I should have ended all of it,
Should have been erased,
Because it was never true…
