I Shall Sit Here Tonight

I shall here all night A watchman I cannot trust, I trust no one White as stars or pale moonlight So I shall sit here and watch. And I am ready tonight This blackness is mine I will not surrender it again I shall sit here tonight Beside my children's crib And though I have bolted the doors And locked the windows Moonlight have a way of creeping in Pilfering the mind I do not want to be blind I want to look at my blackness I shall sit here tonight In the stillness of my darkness Armed and ready to fire At the first light trespassing Through the crack walls For the moon is malicious And will erase my darkness If my blackness permit it

The bogeyman too wears the skin of night, bro. We are not a protected species, and may all be extinct one day, matters not how long you sit. A very militant write though, or war as you styled them.
