I Shall Seek My God
Oh God, you are my God whom
I shall seek earnestly.
I humbly seek your face and
wait patiently…
My soul longs for you.. In a dry land,
where there’s no water.
As I rest, my body is in pain
and will soon falter…
I come to your sanctuary to behold
your glory and power!
And I long for your
presence this very hour!
Because your loving kindness is better
than life, I will praise you!
Because of your love and mercy,
I do exalt you!
I will bless you as long as I live, lifting
up my hands to your name…
Your message of hope and mercy
I will daily proclaim!
My soul is satisfied and I offer
praise with joyful lips!
Your goodness in my life...
Most certainly fits!
I remember you in bed and meditate
on you each night…
And you tell me;
“everything will be alright!”
You’re my God and protector
and best friend indeed!
And have blessed me in meeting
my every need!
You’ve given joy and health
and have sought my well being…
Thank you my Lord and God.
You are my everything!
