I send you flowers
on your birthday.

I send you flowers
roses, on Valentine's Day.

I send you flowers
on Mother's Day.

I send you flowers
to say I love you.

I send you flowers
when I've messed up,
an avenue for an apology.

I send you flowers
today, just because.
