I Seek Change

Something has to change
Only you know how heavy
My heart weights in my chest
Only you know my inner thoughts
And secrets

Something has to change
All doors must remain open
My faith strong not broken
Words can play over and over
When harshly spoken

Something has to change
I am no longer with age
To keep up
I am more slowing down
I am no longer the line in the middle
Of two cross roads

Something has to change
Cant keep letting my feelings
Dictate my bad days and good days
Cant remember the last time
I laugh without crying

Something has to change
Before it is to late to fix
If only I could make them
See what truly matters
don’t coast a thing

Something has to change
Only you can give me
The answers I seek
To lift my spirit free
And leave lasting imprints

Ringing in the changes when we recognise current angst is a step forward and a release from drudgery and pain. nicely written, keep the flame burning, thanks for sharing.
