I See You Lord
I see you Lord wherever I go
I feel your love for me and it's beginning to show
People tell me that I look as radiant as can be
They say that I am in love, but with whom they cannot see
It is you Lord who picked me up when I was down
Only you made the deepest pain leave and did not leave me to drown
I thought I had friends but I was so very wrong
It is only since I've put all my trust in you Lord that I have become strong
I don't feel sad any longer or get those urges to cry
I am filled with so much joy and happiness, I could literally fly
I have more patience that I ever did before
I am happy to help anyone who comes knocking at my door
Where I was once angered, I am now calm
I no longer listen to the gossip of others
I once thought of them as my earthly sisters and brothers
I believed in a united family
And friends who would always be there for me
None of this came into play
My heart was bashed and I crept away
In my home I was ever so lonely and sad
I was so hurt, the pain was deep, bad
I came to visit you and to apologize
I never realized how much I too hurt you Lord, I wasn't wise
Today you have opened the heavens to me
I know I am Your child forever to be.
