I see you, I see me.
I see the us we use to be.
Your music, my writing.
We saw the future in each others eyes.
A band for you, a novel for me.
My soul mate so I thought.
But what it was, was magic.
A true friendship I would see
when I looked in your eyes
from that moment on.
A kiss so tender only a friend could provide.
Ravishing energy beamed from you when you played.
A glow like never seen before as I put into words
I see you I see me.
I see the us we've become today.
