I See Him There

I see him there,
The one I love.

I see him there,
With a baseball glove.

His mind is just like my dad's,
Making it like mine.

He's good at math,
And so am I.

We both like science,
Another similarity.

We love music,
To listen and to make.

We're always looking
To have fun.

Sometimes even
Jumping the gun.

Keeping busy
Is a must

Since we're both crazy,
Maybe even nuts.

He likes the things
That I like too.

But it's all too good
To be true.

It cannot work,
Me and you.

And though I think I love him so,
He can't be mine to keep.

For my God is not his,
And that's a big enough barrier for me.

Therefore,
No matter how I feel.

This love I love
Can't be for you.
