I See Her Father In Her Eyes

I see her father in her eyes A petite replica of me My little doll, I idolize But, her daddy, I do see My darling, little, sassy pants A heartbeat in sync with mine Passionate for song and dance And the flow of poet's rhyme A gentle hand to all God's creatures A spirit, wild and free But, though she has my favorite features She's so much more than me I see her father in her eyes When her natural agility shows Her talents are a true surprise This is how I know A problem solving, fancy face Doing cartwheels in stride Making use of given space Despite the bumpy ride She's all I ever hoped to be I'm so proud to be her mother I accept my role, gracefully My purpose, I discover I see her father in her eyes And it makes me ever so glad Equipped with skills to improvise She reminds me of her dad

Oh, Russell wants to say something, "This is wonderful Anna my friend. You ave written such a beautiful write about your daughter. My daughter just brought me flowers today! A bunch of roses...white! I love them. I love my daughter too. She does have my eyes, a pretty brown, but hers are much prettier. Your poem is pretty too, brought me such a smile this evening. What a fabulous and grandiose piece, great work."

Hello Anna, this reminded me of our daughter Abigail, she has so much of her father in her, the intelligence she certainly got from him, and she likes to write, sometimes writes poems. They are good too. I told her of this site that Russell likes but she says she can't get on a site where he Dad is! But she does have her father's eyes an some facial features, but she was unlucky and got my breasts. She is in college at Ohio State, and we are so proud of her. You will always have her with you! Oh this is wonderful to hear! If it weren't for my children, I believe I would run out of inspiration for writing anything at all. I am so glad you are keeping his spirits up!
