I See Her Face

She lingers after all these years
I see her face
Though time has dried up all my tears
It can't erase
The mem'ries of our winter walks
And frozen fingers interlocked
Or sharing in a long embrace
I see her face

Before that winter disappeared
She left the place
Her fam'ly moved to New Hampshire
An air force base
I wonder where she is today
And if her thoughts of lost love stray
Though I was likely just replaced
I see her face

At some point in time, I think every one can correlate. I can empathize :)….some times, when I am free.....I get to pamper my emotions.....I too see his face...:) Beautiful words!!!
