I Saw You In the Window

I saw you in the window but nothing was said. Just a face of sadness from your down turned head. A vision of desperation without any sound … a sense of ‘imprisonment’ where no freedom was found. The heartbreak was tangible in the face that I saw. I wanted to help … for I couldn’t take more. Then you lifted your head and for a moment our eyes met, as you opened your mouth and I saw what you said. “Help me please HELP ME”! Was the cry that I saw, as tears streamed down your cheeks … my heart broke even more.
