I Saw You

i saw you, god, the
day the earth
dropped. your grip
slipped, & at once all
movement stopped. i
stood, rivetted,
peering out from the
stomach of the sun-
so many things you
could've done, & yet
despite the hold you
had, away it flew;
so far- so sad.
