Notes About The Poem
My desperate cries in a season of a deepest hurt; when I sought the Lord, my Savior Jesus, He didn't just let me know God cared, He let me know that He was, and that He was faithfully there.
I SAW THE LORD
This vision experience and others like it, was a given privilege of God letting me know in a time of a broken heart and crisis He was there for me, and that He placed me there at His right hand.
I SAW THE LORD
Heart shattered, with hopeless breaking,
brought me to my knees,
God of creation, inclined to hearing,
my most flooding pleas.
Feeling shattered broken with grief,
Seeking God like Jacob's relent,
determined to touch the throne of heaven,
time forgotten hours spent, when I saw the Lord.
Suddenly kneeling, upon clouds for floors,
lifted eyes to behold.
The Ancient of Days beyond heaven's doors,
both youthfully and ancient old.
Such beauty alone, breath nearly gone,
beholding in breathless awe,
No flinch, no words, just gazing forward
His pure countenance, not even one flaw. when I saw the Lord.
Affixed upon such glorious beauty
His royal vesture sublime,
His beard like vines grown still to gesture
eternity’s endless time.
Like a living mountain, eternal life's fountain,
yes, I saw Him there,
And now I thought, if He looked upon me,
would be something I could not bare.
And the moment I wondered, if He could see me,
At His right hand, to His side,
Allowing me to forever know,
with Him, doth I abide.
More than coming to my rescue
more than hearing and answering prayer
I was gifted to see, The Most High is with me,
And that He’s always there, for I saw the Lord.
