I Saw Her Black Wings

Following behind , closely lurking... ... shadowy likeness made in your image Trapsing on your footsteps, mirroring your movement Dampness drips in this alleyway... ...stagnant stench of depravity Guilty faces looking up to welcome your entrance. Queen of these wretched wrongs. Ruling with Malevolent mirth. Embracing the pain like a newborn... ...cooing it to grow and damage This likeness suites you well Eyes black searching... ...finding a sinful string to strum Playing chaotic to a tainted mass. Heads swaying to your misleading melody.... ...humbly humming wretched choir The Queen's court serenades to symphony ...Conducting their obedience ...creating harmonious harm The clouds hang low... ...darkly raining on your crown Hands raised, palms up... ...basking in this storm you made The drops amass to puddle at your feet... ...Reflecting true form Your black wings show In rippled water below

This is beautiful. I love dark poetry (as you can probably tell hehe) and this is gorgeous. The imagery, the pace, everything...it's the kind of poem I want to be able to write. Great job. love, Amy

this is another going into the fovorites. really enjoyed readng this powerful poetry. when we are in pain we tend to write better, alot of great poets were like this, they also wrote long poetry. If a person will take the time and read a book then theyll read a long poem. enjoyed this and have a blessed day.
