I Saw

i saw with my own eyes
a hank in a space suit
a hank is a ghost
that if seen may scare you

it wandered from the cemetary
in a space man walk
i watched as i listen
to my cousin talk

look lil johnny look lil johnny
look lil johnny look
loud whispers my attention took
i gawked listened and i shook

looking without horror
and wondering where it will go
we kept same position
not thinking of missing the show

across the front yard
the thing went
while we looked for the head
and the axe

antisipating that it would
turn and head our way
but staying at it's angle
it soon went away

i saw this ghost
with my own eyes
even knowing ghost stories
it was still a surprise

Interesting write that you have presented here...Kinda unbelievable that you got to see a real live ghost...Was you afraid? ....I would be afraid of a hant...Keep the creative pen flowing...Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my work...Sara

Are you leading up to the finding of your relative's grave that you mentioned to me, John? This is a great poem -- nice way to build suspence. Hope you are doing well, my friend. You've been on my mind. Love, Carolyn
