I Save You Day
I save you day from the night
I save you from the shadows
I save you from the nightmares
I save you by taking my time
Even time takes time
As the light needs the sun
I beg the clouds to stop for a while
And stare at me
And start to figure out
What shape I will turn in to
While I am running beneath
Just like I do when I look at them
When they float above me
Up in the sky
Even time takes time
As the mother needs the son
I beg the flowers
To embrace me and breathe me in
And I want them to wonder
Where this sweet sense of smell was made
In what kind of heaven
The first, fourth or seventh
Just like I do to them
When I smell their fields of paradise
Even time takes time
Just like the day needs the night
I save you day from the night
I save you from the shadows
I save you from the nightmares
I save you by taking my time
Here, in these moments, in these seconds
I save you day
