I Reminisce of You

I come to tears when I think of
the two of us, our life together
All I feel is pure happiness
in the silence of your smile, my tears roll
and I think back to our childhood
walking dusty roads
The woods stood tall providing shade to our strolls
blowing the leaves whispering peace, tranquility
if we listened with diligence
it'd gift us their echoes
guardians of the forest whom watched us grow
Will we ever grow to be as old as them?
Through Winters cold and dim
Summers hot and dry
Autumn breezes after July
before Spring begins again
reminisce by Christmas
that I hold love for you hoping you hold mine
I'll always be your friend
until the end of our time
