I Remember You

I remember you

I remember you and the way you look at me
Like some picture on the wall
I smiled at you that day and the rain fell to the earth
And there was nothing more to do but wait
and remember how someone controlled you
And wondered if they really could

I remember your face frozen in time
No past, future or moment
I wanted to influence your mind
And tell you there is no death
And tell you that you never die
But you would not listen
And your heart died anyway
