I Remember You

I remember you, Like now that I'm all alone watching the coming waves that seem to be lively and are wanting to land Where I stand in silence. The world is quiet beneath the serene sky The melodious wind blows obsequiously Like the former you who were so gentle to me You were the tranquility of my mind and my feeling. The water is cold when it touches me It's so sublime to my body and soul Like your lips that I always long for, My happiness that I earnestly desire. I remember you in this very moment When the birds are up in the air Their singing is music to the ears Like your voice that brought soothing melody. I remember you in this very hour How can I forget your memory? When my treasure is your image That I keep within my heart and my mind! Translated by Bernard F. Asuncion from Jez Rico Cuenta's NAAALAALA KITA
