his billowing pipe smoke
he laughed like santa
then went to heaven

i had just turned five

Here's another priceless memory -- way beyond the Polaroid kind. Lovely writ, Line. (Can I stop crying now?) Grandfather Forever! ~ Gershon

I can feel the love and the pain. I know you will always remember many of his good attributes and character. Enjoyed reading. Sara

I can smell the smoke and hear the laughter. I'm sure you could even after he left you. Great poem.

Ah, Line, this is such a sweet little tribute to a man you loved very much as a child. Nice work.
