I Remember Alma

I Remember Alma She sits in her favorite chair Beside her is her remote for the television Letters dating as far back as two years before are- Strewn out on the table next to her favorite chair She decides to do a little cleaning- She goes into her bedroom- where the dresser overflows with old mementos- She stops as she remembers where each piece came from- With a smile on her face- she decides nothing must go- so she dusts around them and sweeps and mops the floor. She then goes back to her favorite chair- looks at the many papers spilling over the sides of the table- She straightens them up a bit- satisfied with her handiwork- She sits back- sighs- picks up the remote for the television- Points- turn to her favorite program- and surmise how good life is- If only she was still here-
