I Remember

I remember when you came to the end of your journey and traveled that last weary mile I forget all of your frowns and only remember your amazing smile There were no unkind words spoken but only good deeds you had done I forget all of your heartache and only remember all of the fun No more stumbles and blunders and falls along the way I forget all the battles lost and only remember those won at the end of the day Even still I grieve for your going and sadness finds me every day I forget that this world should be a happy place and only remember where you now lay But when evening comes on your anniversary and the sun paints the sky in the west I will try to forget all of my sorrow and remember all of your best
