I Remember

This time of season, brings back joy to my ears
I can remember when Aunt Ivy cried her heart in tears
days when she could not bear
months when hungry people hold their belly in fear
I remember one moment when this tree did not reap
causing many hungry hearts to leap
I remember one day, when an old lady cried,
angry
that her mouth was dried
tears fell to the ground
searching for food to be found.
