I Remember

I remember the day
Two weeks before Christmas.

I remember the wind, the clouds
And the snow.

I remember watching the cars
Moving up and down the interstate.

As I sat in my car and watched you
Check oil, water and air.

But most of all,
I remember when your eyes,
Met mine.

I knew in an instant that
My life was forever changed.

I will never forget that
Moment in time.
