I Remember
I remember the poisonous tongue that spoke to my mind
It killed the part of me that had my heart in a bind
I sat still for a moment, and before I knew
My soul was burning, and my heart was blue
I remember how I felt the pain in my eyes
Get out of my life was the words I replied
The answer was too intense. It hardened my cries
Separate from the heart left me with no pride
I'm finally free, and there's no going back
I have to relax and get my life on track
It feels so good to be free from depression
My God had finally given me my greatest blessing
That means speaking your words in thunderous way
As you posed for the lighting with your word play
No more sitting back letting the rain fall from your face
Let take this world by storm each and every day.
