I Remember

his glossy brown eyes
"pizza face"--
red acne scars spreading
like tomato sauce
from his eyes to his chin

the way he solved
those wiggly equations
on the blackboard
like numbers and symbols
poured from his skull

my fingers trembled
snapping photos of him
to keep as mementos
this crush I had on him
that never blossomed

Intriguing portrayal of the 'math nerd.' Every school has at least one. I still remember the 'pizza face' fellow in my high school... And yet, to think that some fair maiden sitting there had a crush on him. A real revelation here. Unique! :) gw

Thank you Gershon. I'm glad you understand my poem. It was written to the prompt "I Remember" which is a famous poem.
