I Rejoice Cause I Know Whose I Am--

I rejoice cause I know whose I AM
I have fallen, yet I fly
I am dead yet I am alive

Most think I'm ugly
But beautiful am I

I have lost, yet I've won
Never been shot by a gun

I'll live forever somewhere
Pray to God it's in heaven

One day I'll be laid to rest
While here on earth been failing test

But I rejoice because of whom I am
I rejoice cause I know whose I AM

thank you Father
Thank you Lord
thank you Father
God and Jesus
For all that you provide us

I have loss, yet I've won
I am of the wrong persuasion

God Dad and Mom made me African American
But beautiful am I

I have killed, yet I've willed
Forgiveness for all those sins

I've done yesterday, today and tomorrow
Pray to God it's in heaven git rid of my sorrows

One day I'll be laid to rest
While here on earth been failing test

thank you Father
Thank you Lord
thank you Father
God and Jesus
For all that you provide us

But I rejoice because of whom I am
I rejoice cause I know whose I AM
