Notes About The Poem
Art created by Deborah Guenther Beachboard
I Regret Nothing
Once upon a time I was a legend
at the police station,
or so I was told by people in the know.
I had done nothing wrong,
*wink* *wink* *grin*
and it's hard to build a case
on rumor and innuendo.
That was forty-six years ago.
Now that I have fewer years ahead
than behind,
I can look back and honestly say
I regret nothing.
This story may be true, or not,
we'll just have to wait
for the memoir to come out!
