I Recall
I recall.....the books she read,
The songs she sang and sayings she said.
I recall.....the way she'd run,
Her finger down my nose for fun.
I recall.....the way she hid,
'protecting" me as a kid.
and
I recall.....her saddened eyes,
As we said our last goodbyes.
