I Really Heard A Bird This January Morning - Cinqku - Cinquain

birdsong
morning eyes
coming back slow
the air still sings stillbirth
sinews

vocal
but window's dead
no more looking today
there blurs in her wings my song's lines
glass works

You can use a cinquain in Brian's contest. Maybe put one of these up as a new post. But I think you don't enter many contests, right?

Hey I could enter the cinquain but not the cinqku with it, and I wanted them together. I enter some contests, just not many... soupmail :)

Fave! The way you view the imagery shows sadness and limited reach. Hugs <3

Such a gift on a cold January morning, Paige! I am reminded that even in winter's cold hand, there is courageous music - a gift! Blessings of song to you!

“there blurs in her wings my song's lines” : very psychic & very winterish, Paige. I enjoy how you personify things we take for granted : “the windows dead” > how important windows are to us. Certainly glass works !! Perhaps a more punchy title to give poem the power it deserves. Love.

Honey, I put emphasis on "really" so the title would read it like I truly heard it and knew what it was saying. <3 :) LOVE.
