I Pulled My Heart Out and Looked At Her

I pulled my heart out and looked at her. I had never seen her from this angle, She was a child. Hurt and lonely, with tear-stained eyes, only wanting to be held. So, I reached out my hand and held her tighter and tighter until we became one. Until I was left holding myself.
