I Press Decline
It’s one of my friends,
calling me at her convenience.
That’s not how I do phones.
I do not feel guilty as I press decline.
I have a policy of only speaking to people
When it is convenient for me.
She lost her three hour window.
Maybe tomorrow I think.
I am enjoying my day, my way.
After I raised three daughters, I claim my time as my own.
