I Persevered

November 2025

Started before last October,
Now I’m stronger, feelin’ bolder.
Left behind the pain, yeah, I got closure,
Heart got lighter, world got closer.
Used to drown, now I’m floatin’ over,
Life got colder, I got sober.
Still got Rover ridin’ with me,
Every step’s a win, I’m livin’ freely.

I was Homer, now I’m wiser,
Used to joke through the fire.
Used to hide, now I’m higher,
Not by smoke — by desire.

What you expect from years of neglect?
Turned the lessons to self-respect.
Ain’t no offense, ain’t no regret,
I’m just proud of how far I’ve trekked.

Across these lands, I understand,
Every scar helped make the man.
If you reach out, come correct,
But keep your peace, keep your plan.

Oh yeah, the world still spins,
People talk, but I still win.
Used to take it all to the chin,
Now I breathe out, let peace in.

Life’s a trek, still a test,
But I give my best, no less.
Every fall, I learn from stress,
Now I rise — no time for rest.
Was depressed, now I see progress,
Even pain can be a promise.
Learned to trust, learned to bless,
Now my mind’s at peace, no mess.

Paid my debts, now I’m set,
Feelin’ love, no need to fret.
Walkin’ forward, no regrets,
Every sunrise feels like a reset.

Simple life, yeah, that’s success.
Still reflect, still connect,
But now it’s love I manifest.

Quit the smoke, now I see clear,
Shadow’s gone — I got no fear.
Faith replaced what pain once steered,
I’m still here, yeah, I persevered.

Pain in my past, now I’m past the pain,
Grateful heart runnin’ through my veins.
Diggin’ deep, I embrace the change,
Turnin’ losses to something I gained.

Dodgin’ wrecks, now I build instead,
Found my peace in the words I said.
Unexplained deaths, but I keep my head,
Prayin’ light for the souls that fled.

Yeah, I’m free, I’m truly blessed,
Still got dreams I haven’t met.
Plain text, but a deeper sense,
Life makes sense — no pretense.

That’s how I live,
Turnin’ pain to the love I give.
It’s all perspective, positive lens,
New beginnings, no bitter ends
