I Own a Gun

I own,
a gun.
Not really,
they kill things,
i could not kill things
i have watched our leaders kill
not things, but people, better than us
wiser, warmer, sadly we watched, bewildered..

Killing -- even if it is by the military -- seems to be easy for leaders to mandate. But I'm like you, Dimestore Shoes. I own no guns and could never kill anything or anyone. Only God should be taking lives. Thanks for stopping by and reading my work today. Love, Carolyn

Artfully crafted, Tom...and tragic in its truth. Thanks for your voice. Hugs, Donna
