I Only Tell of Sunny Hours

I only tell of sunny hours... For beneath the moon I cower. Not for I the dark of night, But visit me in bright sunlight. Then watch the shadows cross my face, For the march of time I trace. At one am I with the Sun, But come the gloom, then I am done. Entry for Sundial Wisdom Poetry Contest Sponsored by Julia Ward 2/2/19. Placed 6th.

Congratulations! I really like 'For beneath the moon I cower'. Very nice iambic tetrameter, too!
