I Never Stopped

Yellow daffodil
smiles fondly at me.
I never stopped before
just to say hello.

A mockingbird trills
its sweet lovely song.
I never stopped before
just to hear him sing.

A white lilac bush
spreads its magic scent.
I never stopped before
just to have a smell.
