I Never Knew

I never knew I could love someone as much as I love you
I never knew your smile could heal and restore me anew

I never knew that the touch of your hand was all I needed
I never knew that in my heart is where you would be seeded

I never knew my life could be filled with so much joy
I never knew that you would become that boy

I never knew how much love and certainty I could feel
I never knew that God would bless me with the real deal

I never knew I could finally be the person I was always meant to be
I never knew that through it all you'd be here with me

I never knew I'd get to grow old with the one I love
I never knew I would marry my angel sent from above

I never knew a love to be more true
I never knew that all this time it was you
